Our company is seeking an experienced Airframe Structures Engineer (CVE) specialized in Major Repair. If you have a passion for aerospace engineering and enjoy the challenge of designing and analyzing complex aircraft structures, then this position at either our Berlin or Bremen location could be the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizing, developing, and optimizing aircraft structures in the area of modification and repairs
  • Strength and fatigue behavior calculations for components and aircraft parts
  • Application of CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks) for creating design drawings
  • Ensuring manufacturing-friendly designs considering geometric dimensions and tolerances
  • Familiarity with technical standards and approved testing procedures
  • Planning and conducting static and dynamic tests for strength validation within the framework of aviation regulatory approval
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of engineers
  • Independent problem-solving and creative idea development
  • Willingness to continuously learn and build interdisciplinary knowledge

Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of structural analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) tools such as FEMAP & Afgrow, as well as classical hand calculation methods, and 3D CAD
  • Experience in designing for manufacturability according to aviation regulations (CS-23/25 or CS-27/29)
  • Experience in structural design and calculation for Major Repairs under CS-23/25
  • Proficiency in data control and document management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good proficiency in both German and English
  • Desirable: Negotiation experience in collaboration with EASA experts
